Disclosure of private images, class H felony – class 1 misdemeanor if under age 18
Title: General statuses Section 14-190.5A Disclosure of Private Images
Status: In effect, as of 2015
A person is guilty of disclosure of private images if all the following apply:
Repercussions: A violation will result in a Class H felony if the person is 18 years of age or older at the time of the offense. A violation will result in a Class 1 Misdemeanor for a first offense by a person who is under 18 years of age at the time of the offense. Second time or subsequent offenses by a person who it under 18 results in a Class H felony.
Does not apply to: images involving voluntary public exposure, disclosures made in the public interest, and providers of an interactive computer service.
