We have released a series of statements on things happening with Badass currently. You can find those statements below.

In light of recent events, The Badass Army is no longer accepting charitable donations. If you would like to make a charitable donation to a similarly minded organization, we are happy to provide our suggestions.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. However, we feel it is our ethical duty to redirect charitable donations at this time to organizations who can immediately utilize them to assist victims.
The remaining members, Rachel, Kate, and Marleigh, have decided that we must take our time in discussing whether or not Badass will continue on as an organization. Transparency, advocacy, and privacy remain our top priorities.

Some of you may have noticed that some changes are happening right now with Badass.
We wanted to give you a quick update while we are working to figure out our next steps as an organization.
First, we want to share with you that Katelyn has voluntarily stepped away from Badass, and she has relayed to us that she is okay. We’re going to respect her privacy and not share more than what she has communicated to us.
Second, some concerns were brought to us this week by some members of our Twitter community, so we released an initial statement on Twitter as the admin team. You can see that statement below. We are working together to fully understand and determine what steps need to be taken next.
The people we help are the heart and soul of our mission, and we always prioritize their advocacy, privacy, and needs first. Our inbox will remain open, however, we may be slower to respond than usual.
Stay tuned for more updates as things continue to move along. We will do our best to answer your questions as directly as we can.

Recently, it has become very clear that there are some issues and concerns regarding our organization, and we are working to address them. We want to assure you that we take the privacy of those who reach out to us and our team members seriously, as it is a pillar of the work that we do.
We will be taking the time to reflect on the feedback we have received over the past few days to come up with a plan to move forward.
Over the next week, we will be working on and releasing several aspects of our structure; including transparency guidelines, our improved code of conduct, our standards of privacy, and a formal introduction to our full team and their roles.
We welcome your feedback and are tremendously thankful to you for holding our organization to the highest standard.
As always, if you feel you or someone you know is in danger, please contact 9-1-1 or emergency services first.
